De-stress: Free jazz concert at AMR
Music is a wonderful way to de-stress, and if you’re a jazz fan, the venue and school AMR is hosting an evening of free concerts on September 14, 2013 to commemorate their 40th anniversary.

Founded in 1973 by musicians, the Association for the Promotion of improvised music (AMR) has the following objectives: To encourage, promote and assist in Geneva and its region, the development and practice of improvised jazz music, mostly from the Afro-American music. It has developed in three dimensions: education, work support and dissemination.

Fondée en 1973 par des musiciens, l’Association pour l’encouragement de la Musique impRovisée (AMR) se donne pour objectifs d’encourager, aider et favoriser, à Genève et dans sa région, le développement et la pratique du jazz et des musiques improvisées, majoritairement issues des musiques afro-américaines. Elle s’est développée sur trois dimensions: la formation, le soutien au travail et la diffusion.
